Rocco "The Bandit" won the worst casino in town in a rigged card game. Then the Rat Boss explained the rules.
Winner takes the casino. Congratulations, kid.

One night, start to dawn
Every night the Rat Mob sends its boys to wreck the place. Come Friday, the Boss wants his envelope.
The game's HUD: Rocco's hearts, the sack of gold filling as he earns, and the clock running down to dawn.

Fight
Rocco fights with a deck of cards. The Boss pays his goons in advance, so knock one out and his pockets spill.

Grab the coins
Every coin goes in the sack, and the sack is what pays the bill. Spend it on slots or the casino instead, and you'd better win it back.

Pay by Friday
Friday at dawn the Boss collects, and every week the bill is bigger. Paid: the casino is yours for another week. Short: you're run out of town.
3 AM, the floor gets loud
Bet it all
In developmentEvery spend is a bet. Gold that goes into slots or the casino is gold the Boss doesn't get, so it had better pay.
Lockboxes
Stand close and it opens. No click needed. Inside: a burst of gold, or a moth.
Where the gold goes
Pull a slot. Rebuild the casino. Or keep it in the sack for Friday. The bill doesn't care which.
