Privacy.
Short version: no ads, no tracking cookies, no mailing list, only anonymous visit counts. If you write to us, we use your email to reply and nothing else, and you can have it deleted at any time.
Who is responsible
Silent Thread, run by Esteban Estrada, Medellín, Colombia. Email: hello@silentthreadstudio.com. Every request about your data goes to that address.
What we collect, and why
- Email you send us. Kept in our inbox so we can reply. Never sold, never added to a mailing list, never shared for anyone else's marketing.
- Your browser. The site saves two settings in your browser's local storage: your light or dark mode choice, and whether you have already seen the opening animation. They never leave your device.
- Visits. Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights count page views and measure how fast pages load: the page, the site that linked to it, country, browser, device type and load times. No cookies and no profile of you. Visits are told apart only by a hash that resets every day, and IP addresses are not stored.
Consent
Writing to us is your authorization to process your email address as described here.
Who handles it for us
- Vercel hosts the site and keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and browser, to run and protect it. It also runs the visit counts and speed measurements above.
- Email to us is received and stored by Google (Gmail), forwarded by ImprovMX.
These providers store data outside Colombia, mainly in the United States. By writing to us, you authorize that transfer.
How long we keep it
Email you send us stays in our inbox until you ask us to delete it. Then it is removed.
Your rights
You can, free of charge:
- know what data we hold about you, and update or correct it;
- ask for proof of your authorization, and how your data has been used;
- withdraw your authorization and ask us to delete your data;
- complain to Colombia's data-protection authority, the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio.
How to use them
Write to hello@silentthreadstudio.com from the address concerned and say what you want. We answer questions within 10 business days, and requests to correct or delete within 15 business days.
